Compass mirror

Hello.
I have a 05 Silverado the compass mirror is not working, it is getting power because I see a green light on. My airbag light is on, I’m thinking it’s because the mirror is not working. Does that sound about right? Thank you.

    I don't see any correlation between the compass operation and the airbag system. Your owner's manual has a routine for compensating the compass and switching from outside temperature etc. Refer to that and see if you can get it to turn on by performing a compensation routine. I'll include the GM schematic for the mirror below.

    As far as the airbag system goes, have someone connect a professional level scan tool and pull codes from all of the modules on the car, and then go directly to the airbag (SRS) system and pull codes there and see what you find. You can post them here and I can explain what they mean.
