Has anyone ever swapped out the shorter front end (1996-'02) , with the longer (2003+up) front end

I would like to swap out the older front end, found on 1999 GMC Savana 1500 with the later '03 and up. Point and reason being, the older headlights are to me a tacky side effect of the 90's. I haven't found any LED or Halo lights that fit the current setup. I'm willing to cut and paste, and I'm going to do it here in the near future anyhow; I was just wondering if any of the Vets/OG's in the car world have already done so. It's actually hard to imagine no one else has had the idea, so I'm looking for pointers and tips so curve the learning as I go.

They are completely different designs. This is something I would not attempt to do and feel this should only be attempted by someone with extensive fabrication experience and very deep pockets. Good luck if you take on this project.
