I have a 1998 olds intrique gl. My high speed radiator fan setting does not come on. My low setting works fine. My A/C clutch went bad so I disconnected the electrical connection to it. My relays ,fuses,temp control sensor and fan motors all work fine. I can’t connect the electrical connection to the A/C clutch because it will most likely freeze up. When the temp sensor is disconnected my high speed fans turn on.
Why won't my high speed radiator fan work correctly?

If it works under a default mode, such as disconnecting the coolant sensor, then it does work correctly. It only runs at high speed if there is a need for it to. If the low/medium speed is sufficient to cool the engine, then you won't see the high speed turn on.
