I looked at the 2024 I5 SEL AWD yesterday at a dealer in northern Virginia. The sales person couldn’t find any way to recharge the battery without going to a fast charger in the service department. I would think that any EV would come with the most basic charger attachment. I do have a 240v outlet already installed in my garage, but shouldn’t the car come with something? The car had only 9% charge and went to 8% in less than a mile, so we didn’t get much of a test drive. What did yours come with for charging.

If the dealer did have a fast charger, WHY NOT use it? You could have had PLENTY of "test drive" miles in 10-15 minutes.

You thought incorrectly. It's an EV, not a vacuum cleaner. It doesn't come with "attachments."

An EV is not an oven or dryer - you cannot "just plug it in" like a home appliance. You need an EVSE installed to charge it. What kind of 240V outlet is in your garage? NEMA 14-50? Then buy the appropriate charger for that style outlet.
