MAF Sensor

Any recommendations when changing out this sensor. Plan is to install new one, pull negative battery cable for an hour then start engine to idle for 15 minutes. Sensor should then help the ECM re-learn driving patterns. ?????

    Why do you feel that is necessary? When you completely depower a car there often are specific retrains that should be performed with systems other than the engine controller (power windows, power seats radio). Is there a drivability issue occurring that you are hoping this is going to help alleviate? What codes are setting, and what is the long term and short term fuel trims at various engine speeds and loads? How did you determine that the sensor needs to be replaced?
