Ok so I need some advice...

I'm looking to replace my Ram 1500 that blew an engine and has a lot of miles. I'm debating between a 2017 Tahoe LT (75K miles) or a 2023 Camry XSE (55K miles). Both vehicles are priced pretty much right around the same.

I've owned a 2007 Tahoe as well as a 2011 Suburban in the past and loved them, so I know the 2017 would be great. However I'm debating the Camry as I'm looking for a vehicle that I can drive until the wheels fall off with as little mechanical work as possible in the future, and from what I gather then the Camry is a very reliable vehicle.

What are your thoughts as I'm torn 50/50?

(note: I do have an old beater SUV that I can use to haul stuff so I'm not looking at this through a space perspective)

Ditto Camry since you don’t need the hauling capacity and you are looking for longevity. Also consider that if the Silverado has the 5.3L with the ACM system you could be looking at big lifter problems.

That's what happened to my 07 Tahoe was the lifters crapped the bed, so the 2017 also is a 5.3 and that was one of my fears is lifters and transmission.

I appreciate the feedback. I was leaning toward the Camry but needed other options.
