Mazda CX7. — Reliable?
My husband is looking at purchasing either a used CX 7 i sport 2012 ( 147,000 miles) and clean Carfax or the 2011 CX7 grand touring (114,000 miles) with clean Carfax.
Our concern is the grand touring rattles when starting up initially and then dies down. We like the lower miles on the Grand touring but we are going to let the garage figure out the rattle issue as I read there can be issues with that. Also the turbo engine on the grand touring I heard can be an issue.
Does anyone recommend these CX7 still? I read some problems with the years 2007-2010 but 2011 and 2012 seem better. The seats in the i sport were very comfortable despite being cloth. The grand touring i know eats more gas but are these cars reliable. I would never buy this without the rattle checked on the grand touring and even then, I feel more partial to I sport . Thanks for any help.
