Third brake light replacement

Does anyone know how to replace the third brake light on a 1989 Mazda 626? Is it in the trunk or does it come apart on the 3rd brake light itself?

Not the same model Mazda but likely works the same. Assuming you have a 4 door so it is on the rear deck. The 5 door light is up at the top of the hatch. Different location but should be same basic process.
