I still dislike the un-eveness of the EVO platform in general, anytime you have a transverse engine you will have an unbalance in the chassis.
Also once you get into real racing, even on the most basic level, things change quickly.
For instance take our 1994 Subaru Legacy Turbo. We tried to keep it as "stock" as possible but between putting in the cage and the safety requirements, the car has changed to a differnet beast from when it was "stock" even though the driveline including the air filter are stock!

I'm thinking either one of the cars probably are too small for me as a daily driver. I made the mistake rolling about 5 miles per hour through the mistu lot thinking the Galant was the Lancer, because of it's small size :surprise:

Just picked up a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon 5MT, they only made the MT Wagons in 2005! Can't wait to hit the road course with it and pass the vipers in the rain, with my WAGON!

Seriously though about a year and a half ago I was at Watkins Glen International in an HPDE4 Group (Instructor Group of very experienced drivers) out on a cold day in Oct in the pouring rain. There were several vettes out there, 2 "race" vipers that were at the event, you know the ones who come in those fancy 18-wheel rigs with the sat dishes on top, the crew of mechanics, super duper rain tires, etc. Valued each car setup at easily around $1M a piece.
We were out there having a blast, except I had to keep flashing the vettes, vipers and porsche 911 turbos to get out of my way! I was in my 94 Legacy Turbo, 165hp/190lbs torque with an exhaust upgrade, Koni struts, and 150k miles on the ticker and Faulken Azenis Sports. These guys kept coming up to my uncle in the garages all day saying "What's in that thing?" He turned to them in broken english "It'sa completelya stocka" "My a nephew hasa 150,000 miles on the cara but itsa gotta an allawheeladriva, thatsa why ita passa youa in a the raina"
It was a riot really, but after that even if I wasn't sold on AWD, I was from then on. That Legacy has now been transformed into our road race car, here is a pic at VIR in Feb passing a spun Integra during a race in the rain.
