Mitsubishi positraction add on?

Can positraction be added to a 1987 Mitsubishi Mighty Max 2WD with 2.0 engine?If so,would this be an after market unit or can a unit be made to fit from another small pickup such as the s-10 or Ford Ranger?What is the approximate cost and degree of difficulty?Would the whole axle have to be replaced? thanks,Dave
