2007 Element EX and Remote Starters

I just got a new 2007 EX and the salesman told me that nobody is having any luck with remote starters on this vehicle and that installing one can cause engine damage that Honda will not repair.

Any feedback? It's getting cold in Minnesota!

I havent looked too much into getting one but i am thinking about it today since its all of 7 degrees here today (MN also). Have you talked to anyone besides the dealership about it? What dealership did you talk to?

I was told that by the salesman at Buerkle Honda. I ended up getting rid of that vehicle after about a month because the doors drove me absolutely nuts.

I loved driving the vehicle - But I have an infant daughter. Moving her in and out with those doors was like solving a rubik's cube.

I talked to Beurkle about a year ago and walked out of there for how rude they were. I dont do alot of work in the back seat since i have no children, but i haul bags and things back there. Doors dont bother me too much. I will ask my dealer (walser) about the remote start next time im in for everyone on here!

The rear doors are the same as in the Tundra. It would seem to me that the best child proof door is one that cannot be opened.
