Lexus IS and Child Seats

I am interested in either the IS 250 or ES 350. I am leaning towards the IS. The last deciding factor is whether people are able to place infant seats in the rear seats without any problems. What experience do people have with rear facing, front facing infant seats as well as booster seats? Also can people put two infant seats in the back as well? Thanks.

    it will be tight.

i would bring a seat to the dealer and see if it fits.

neyond that it may be difficult to get the child in due to the small door opening.

we use a booster seat and it is OK, but not a lot of room to spare

a rear-facing car seat for infants may not fit at all without brining the front seats way forward.

I have opted to put the car seat in the middle of the back seat. If you put it on any of the seats behind the driver or passenger seat you will have to move those seats to an uncomfortable position. I hear the '08s seats were changed to improver rear leg room, not sure if this will help with the space for the car seat as well. Getting in and out is not a problem though

I agree it could be tight in an is250 when rear-facing. I have a 2008 with a front-facing toddler seat. It fits, but I put it behind the passenger seat and my child has a tendency of kicking the passenger seat even when it is fairly far forward (not uncomfortable for a non-tall person). No way it would fit comfortably behind the driver's seat and I'm 5'9".

Might be a good idea to put in the middle-rear as ajmtbm suggested. If it's important, I also recommend bringing the seat and trying it out. This is one of the reasons why I almost bought an Acura TL.
