edited March 2014 in Nissan
I was just leaving dinner and I thought I saw a brand new 09 Murano driving past and parking. I walked by the car and looked at the back and it read Rogue. It is not necessarily a bad thing but seems like with Nissan that make similar looking vehicles, very hard to tell apart with a quick look. The Rogue-Murano, Maxima-Altima. Toyota does this somewhat with the Rav4-Highlander but that’s a little easier to distinguish. Closer look online the Murano and Rogue grille now are a lot different but I at night very hard to tell. I love the new Murano though and would not get the Rogue(seems like a good car though). For me, Comfort, Interiors, and Performance, Room are well worth price. Anyway just wondering what people think.

I was referring to the new Murano actually. From the back now with the horizontal headlights on both Murano and Rogue it is hard to tell apart. The grille on the old Murano looks more like the Rogue's grille now. I did hear about a new Maxima coming out, but currently it is pretty similar unless looking at them very close.

I know what you mean. Before buying the Rogue we visited the Nissan lot on a Sunday and just walked around. Side by side, the two cars are very similar. Now that we own the Rogue, the differences are easy to see. Especially from the rear. More vertical tail lights on the M and wrap arounds on the R. I think you can throw the FX in there too. Definitely a strong family resemblance. Handsome cars all three.

you will find what you are lookinmg for in these two vehicles to be similar but different. You want a small SUV with a 4 cyl. bang ROuge.... You want a 6 cyl and more comfort bang Murano... They fit the needs of the customers that buy them. EIther vehicle you get you will definately enjoy!!

The front of the new Murano has a grill that looks nothing like a Rogue. The Murano is also much larger. They are not that hard to tell apart.
