I can't even really tell if it is leather or vinyl...
Has anyone purchased this item?
Thanks
These are leather seat covers made to resemble OEM materials, but they can't be the same thing. I have a Veracruz with factory leather, and looking closely at the pictures on this website, I can see many areas (especially around the seat belts on the back seats) where this product differs significantly from OEM. Actually, the more you examine these pictures, the more differences you see; for example, where do they get those giant rear seat headrests? The stitch patterns are also quite different than OEM, and they even differ between the gray and tan examples.
"Thanks for your inquiry. KMELSP1 is the OEM leather seating used on the
vehicle, it is not genuine leather. These kits do require your existing
clotht to be removed before installation. We highly recommend these kits
be installed by a professional auto upholstery company."
So they aren't seat covers, but they are synthetic. Are the "leather" seats in the un-upgraded SE real leather? If so it confirms that these aren't the oem seats.
In addition, the seats are offered in a 5 seat or 7 seat option. If you look at the bottom of the page there is an option to pay $120 more for the 3rd row seating.
Thanks
I know I've found where the clips should be, it's jut getting the leverage to pop it out. Almost to the point of taking it to the dealership.
Thanks,
James
did you try the above roof rail? if so, how was the installation? thx!

I'm assuming hooking onto the plastic that covers the hatch is OK, but still wanted to ask.
If this is not OK, anyone have suggestions for bike racks I can add to the crossbars on my roof?
Thank you.
Shawn
I'd go roof mount and get either Yakima or Thule components. I have a Yakima setup that's pushing 20 years old and it's great.
Buy and install 2" hitch, and buy hitch mounted rack. Hitch + hitch mounted rack may end up costing less then a roof mounting system (depending what you get). You can buy reasonable priced hitch from places like U-haul, and they have free installation if you buy hitch from them (trust me, you do want somebody else to install hitch for you).
Actually, I usually recommend getting a hitch and hitch mounted rack even to people with smaller cars (almost all cars have factory made mounts for the hitch on the frame).
As for the bike rack, any hitch mounted rack from Yakima or Thule should do. If you want more than two bikes on a rack, 2" hitch is required for some types of hitch mounted racks. I have Yakima HoldUp with HoldUp plus extension (total of 4 bikes). Nice thing with HoldUp is that when you don't need more than two bikes on the rack, you can easily take extension off. Another thing with this rack is it's easy to put bikes on and off the rack, and there's no way a bike can get scratched on it (like on some types of racks where bikes "hang" on top tube). Thule has similar rack too.
There's also few hitch mounted racks that can swing sideways to allow for easy access to the trunk (which is a common problem with bike racks on SUVs).
$15 per blade at the dealer with free installation is a STEAL! Cheap blades are about $10 each. Decent ones like RainX, Michelin and Bosch are almost $15, and quite honestly the Hyundai OEM ones are better than Bosch. If I could get blades installed for $15 each, I'd go that option myself!
Thanks Again. You ROCK!
