No Anti-Slip Rear on Tundra. Any Problems?

Why does Toyota not offer anti-slip rear end on the Tundra? I'm most concerned with a 2WD at the boat ramp. Any thoughts?

only suggestion is go with an aftermarket locker

Or i believe toyota dealerships can install one for you.

Yeah I would say that is a huge minus not having the limited-slip thing...

So far I havent had the need to launch a boat with my 2WD...

Limited slip is available thru Toyota after-the fact for 2001 models. The part is $699. Installation is quite the job but it's possible. The Tundra for 2002 will offer Limited slip as an option.

Here is what appears to be a very nice

compromise between a locker and limited-slip.

It is what I will install one day soon.

It can be a DIY or have a mechanic do it,

all the info is at the website:

    Don't know its cost.

And you cant get it from the factory?

You have to buy the truck first then have it installed?

Not for me. I'll stay with the big 2 and Germans that let you buy it built into your truck as a much lower priced option.
