Some Punk was racing his neon vs an older chevy truck. Suprisingly the neon blew the old Truck away. Having a 2000 Silverado Reg Cab 5.3 liter, I pulled up next to this guy thinking that I would smoke him. Well when the light turned green he gunned it squeeling tires as was I. He had a stick shift and quickly pulled ahead. I hit the gas to the floor but was unable to gain on him. He beat me. My truck hasnt a single aftermarket performance upgrade so I was pure stock. This little neon had some good stuff added on whatever it was. He did have racing humbers on the side of his car and probably had his little car finely tuned for racing. A Dual-exhaust system addition to my truck might have made the small difference that he beat me? I dont know..but one is coming soon.
Cars are cars and trucks are trucks. Neon is an especially quick car for a compact. No surprise to me. Most of todays newer cars will out-quick any truck, except the super-quick trucks, Lightning, Scyclone, Typhoon, etc.
U.S.T.F. #1 MASCOT "JACK" Now Riding In A Higher Place Lancaster, PA 4/9/00 - PCN News -- Dave40, U.S.T.F. Founder and Chief today announced the passing of his 14 year old Companion, JACK the Dog. It was a day of both sadness and relief. Dave lost his Great-Spirited copy of Man's Best Friend, but Jack is now longer in the lingering pain that a chronic illness had subjected him to for the past months. Jack was a high-ballin' Trucker to the end! Jack will long be remembered as the big-hearted Black Lab that virtually lived to jump into the back of Dave's big Chevy Pick-Up and head for anywhere. He was equally at home in the Susquehanna River and the miles of woodlands surrounding his home. At the internment, Dave said, "Good old Jack is now riding in the back of a Golden Chariot in a Higher Place, looking down and sending me and the U.S.T.F. Members his love." If you get the chance to look up, say Hi and Goodbye to Mascot Jack. He'll never forget you and we'll never forget him! Jack is now resting in the idyllic surroundings of the PA Dutch Heartland. see Jack>>> http://community.webtv.net/truckforce/USTF
