    Hey I will give you one thing you get with the Dodge that you don't get with any of the other makes except maybe a Ford Superduty. You get that in your face, move that little Honda or you will be a hood ornament styling.

    So what color, engine etc. I personally like that Dodge blue, I think it is patriot blue and I would hope you got the 360. If you got the 3.92 gears she will get up and go.

    Ford has a known problem with a crack developing on the driver and passenger doors of F-150's. Look at the bottom right of the drivers door right next to the windor for the crack. They are not very big, but the metal is cracked. I looked on my friend's '97 F-150, both sides have it, and it's rusted there.

    I believe that they are. If I recall the horsepower was around 353 (don't know about torque).

    Why should we this be Ram vs Tundra. It should be Dakota against the Tundra. The Dakota is more the Tundras size.

    Now that you mention it, my friend had an '86 F-250 a few years back and it had a couple of cracks on the outside of the bed. Is this something that Ford has fixed I assume??

    This guy ford30 is the same guy as dodge 20 and 50
    he makes broad statements that have nothing to do with the facts, as we all know. He's done the same thing on my topic many times. In short this person seemingly has split personality disorder as well as the inability to check these pages effectively because he will find a group set up for the Tundra vs Dakota comparo on the last page of this conference.

    Well, the Dakota may, also, be too much for the Tundra. The original Dakota, with only the 5.2L V8 was rated at 2,550 lbs. payload and 7,100 lbs. towing. One can only imagine what the current Dakota can actually do with the 5.9L V8.

    The Dodge Ram is not in the same class as the Tundra. It is a far bigger & better truck then the Tundra.

    Boy your right about the same class but dodge is starting to make better trucks now some day they can be in the same class. And bigger is not always better

    After quite a bit of research and road testing I have to say that I've decided to get a 2001 Ram 1500 SLT QC 4X4 LB, it offers me the features that I need, the Tundra is a fine truck, but it fell short on my list of necessary features because the bed is too short & shallow, the rear seating capacity is limited and the price is too high for a vehicle that does not quite offer the full size truck features that I need.
