Thanks all - much appreciated!!! I'll let you know how I do (I'm actually also looking for a ES350 - been holding out ordering one for 2 years due to the tranny problem)
Well, I don't know where these amazing edmunds deals come from...I certainly couldn't get one. Maybe it's a Long Island thing? Two dealerships gave me the same prices... RX 350, 15 miles, 42 mo lease, paying taxes etc outright ($3300) premium plus package with front windows tinted and 10,000 service thrown in...$533 per month. MSRP is $41,000.00 plus front tinting. Just posting this for reference
Leased an RX350 AWD this week-end from Pleasanton Lexus (Bay Area)
Here's the detail : MSRP : $46,583 Selling Price : $41,262 Lease Term : 36mos, 12k/yr Residual : 59%, $27,484 Money Factor : .00155 (yes it was this low and it got even better) Due at lease signing : $1450 (1st month, etc) 9 Mos into MSD : $4500 New Money Factor : .00065 Monthly Payment : $427.41 / $462.67 (with 8.25 CA tax)
Also looked at SoCal dealers and Glendale quoted me $40,988 for the same config but will only allow me to lower the MF to .0010. Opted with the NorCal deal.
I purchased a 2007 RX-350 for my wife two weeks ago. - FWD - Premium Plus Package - 18" Aluminum Alloy wheels with all season tires - Multi-stage Heated front seats w/ rain-sensor wipers & headlamp washers - Cargo mat - Wheel locks - silver exterior with black interior
The MSRP was $42,373. I paid $40,000 out of door in so cal. The selling price is actually $500 below invoice.
Got my Black RX350 today! Drives like a dream. A LOT smaller than my old Jeep Cherokee but I'll adjust. The only problem for me is the armrest. I'm a tall gal at about 5'11" and it seems to be up too high and it's not comfie. The only other thing is that the storage console seems "behind" you...and you really have reach back. Also, I can't see the speedometer when husband is driving! LOL... Can't see how fast he is going! I love it...but I have to say that my Jeep Grand Cherokee was much more comfortable!
I am a frustrated buyer in the Minneapolis area. First, can't find an RX350 with NAV and Mark Levinson. Second, it appears people are paying just under MSRP, with monthly lease payments into the $600+ range.
Is the Mark Levinson worth a special order?
Are there any dealers in other areas that might carry a better selection and give me a better deal?
I feel stuck because the only 2 Lexus dealers in town are owned by the same place.
I can understand NAV being not so common, but who buys a car without the premium stereo? I don't understand why Lexus isn't building these with the good options. Makes me not want to buy a Lexus.
did you try moving the center storage console up more? there is a handle inside that lets your slide it up all the way the center console, it might be more comfy for you that way. I'm shorter, around 5'7, and I don't seem to have the problem with the arm rest, seems like a perfect place to me.
yup, I believe you have to open up the storage compartment and at the top in front there should be a handle. you have to squeeze it and pull on the whole console.
I seem to have the same beef with Lexus right now. I don't know if you've had a chance to listen to the base stereo in the RX, but I've had the opportunity in two RX's owned by two friends, and, boy, the sound quality is disappointing. My base stereo in my 2002 Maxima sounds better than the base RX, and I don't even have the Bose system in my Max!
Ironically, I believe you can order the Mark Levinson system separate from the navigation system on the RX400h, but I'm not sure how easy it is to find one or if you have to special order it. It does frustrate me, because I do like a nice sound system in my ride.
I am in GA and I was quoted $1500 over invoice for RX 350 with Premium Package plus and NAV, both Dealers want $41.5K.
Where do you guys get the invoice price? Looking at Edmunds, the invoice for PP+ & NAV should only be around $38,387 (including destination charge). If adding $1500 on top, the price should still be under 40k.
Someone posted above that he was able to get one for $500 under invoice, while other ppl got them for $300, 600 above invoice.
Am I right or wrong about the invoice price? Can you give me the names of your Salesperson?
I live in SC and couldn't get any selling price close to yours in GA for RX 350 FWD PP+Nav+18.0" tires= MSRP $45,183 It would be much appreciated , if you could quote me the name of the dealers/sales persons in GA , who did quote you 41.5K,which is exactly $1512 above invoice price of $39,988. Many thanks :surprise:
Okay, here's the deal I got. The car is a fully loaded FWD version that includes Lexus rear entertainment DVD system, 18 inch wheels, Multistage heated front seats with rain sensing wipers, Navigation/Mark Levinson Package, Cargo Mat, and Wheel Locks. It is a 36 month 12K/year lease.
MSRP $48,243
As an aside, I don't think there are any more options available for FWD RX 350 currently available because I looked at his full invoice list of like 150 RX's and there weren't any FWD ones with a higher MSRP. I also got him to throw in and install a Cargo net (they have to drill some holes so I have to take it in with an appt).
Anyway, the Price we paid was 42,386 which was invoice price from his list and supposedly $120.00 under true invoice because he said there is some other dealer fee that is added in. I saw this $120.00 on his computer screen and he had to subtract $120.00 from the invoice price to get it to balance out. Then there was a $600.00 acquisition fee which he said he couldn't do anything about so:
Gross Cap Cost $42,986.00 Money Factor: .00155 Residual: 56% $27,016.00.
As another aside it was 58% on the FWD I was looking at without Mark Levison Package and he just looked these numbers up out of a book provided by the dealer. He said it was lower because of the option Packages and he couldn't change it.
Due at Signing $993.12 which was just first months payment plus licensing and he said we would probably get a small refund because they over-estimate it a little. Monthly Payment 597.66 which includes 8.25% Ca tax.
Let me know what you think. hope this can help someone get a better deal.
Signed tonite--36 months/12k/yr. includes prem. plus, navigation, and dealer installed remote start. $1253 out of pocket and $568/month. Another Long Island dealer--o.k. Rallye Lexus let me walk, said Rockville Center would never get me the car for that price. Oh well, papers signed and we pick it up tomorrow.
The current lease offer from Lexus for the RX350 w/PP+mats and wheel locks. MSRP 43933. $429 / mo for 36 months - $3,529 Due at Lease Signing Includes 1st mo. payment, acquisition fee and cap. cost reduction. Excludes applicable taxes & fees. No security deposit required. Residual of 25920 w/36K miles max.
The deal sounds decent, but would another $ 2000 off be possible ?
my deal of $1235 out of pocket including tax, new plates additional, with PP, nav, and remote start is close. Paying $568/mo. Back out sales tax of $46/mo, $70 to capitalize $2500 cap cost, about $30/month for nav, and about $15?? for remote start= approx. $407/month. Are my calculation valid?
Yes, I noticed that issue with the arm rest. Did you try what Maximus suggested? Did it actually work? I'm about to buy the car on Monday at 6:30pm and that arm rest could be a deal breaker so I want to make sure before I buy it.

Thanks Wheels2go and Irisheyes44! I got the deal of all deals from Ray Catena in Oakhurst, NJ - $200 above invoice! MSRP (incl $695 delivery) $43,933 (no nav). Invoice $39,037, Price $39,237 plus 6% tax plus $7.50 tire tax plus $25 registration/title plus $199 "documentary" fee.
Got the Siver plus gray interior. Was a bit surprised that with the grey interior the dash was black. Was all gray with our 2001 RX300 and looked much better that way.
Hey thanks for this helpful info. Looks like I got a similar quote for a 2007 RX 350 w/ Nav/Mark Lev pkg, rear ent. system, 18" wheels at $41,500 w/ a lease of $599 per month and $1,000 out of pocket. Can you tell me which dealership in Southern Ca. you got your price quote from and contact person if allowed?? Thanks!

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone experenced this problem. I just purchased a new RX350. Sometimes when I start the engine, the AC indicator flashes. After I turn it off and turn it on again, it stops flashing. Is this a problem? Thanks
Should I get AWD even there is not much snow in GA? I am told AWD is also good for raining days. Also, according to the Lexus brochure, Mark Levinson comes with NAV package, is that right or it's an additional option?
Mark Levinson does not come with the NAV. There is a package with Mark Levinson and NAV combined, but I wasn't able to find any when I was shopping for an RX350 recently. It looked to me like the only available cars with Mark Levinson also had the rear seat entertainment system, which I didn't want.
I live in AZ, and I didn't see any reason to get AWD.
Before you purchase an RX330 wherein no one can be sure of AWD or not have a look at the upcoming Acura RDX which is undoubtedly the forerunner of all future AWD systems.
Actually (At least in Florida), you can only get the Mark Levinson system if you get the Navigation. I guess they're integrated together. But you can get the navigation without the Mark Levinson system upgrade. I wish that you could get the Mark Levinson without the nav. I don't care much for the standard stereo system in the RX, and I don't have to have the nav.
Special lease includes $3529 at lease signing. I got a monthly of $429 assuming the ff : MSRP - $43,933 Selling Price - $39,800 Cap Cost Reduction - $2000 (out of the $3529 due at signing) Net Cap Cost - $37,800 Residual - 59% ($25,920) MF - .00155
You can get the same monthly by putting $4500 into MSD, instead of doing the $2K cap cost reduction.
Does the light gray interior show a lot of dirt? I've had dark interiors in my last few cars and I'm getting tired of the darkness, but I occasionally carry band equipment during the weekends and I'm afraid the interior will get somewhat dirty.
How is the responsiveness of the RX350 transmission with the new engine? I've heard some questionable things about the past ES and RX transmissions in the past several years.
I've got 2800 miles on my RX350 now, and I'd have to say that the transmission responsiveness is excellent, as good as that of my LX470 that I traded in on it.

Let me preface this by saying I'm a newbie on leasing, but let's say I have the cash to buy the RX350 outright with a trade-in, and I usually keep a car 4 or 5 years, does it make any financial sense for me to lease?
I agree that there should be a lease topic for the RX 350. It seems that all the discussion is on leasing and I would rather discuss the vehicle and not the best leasing deal.
I really like the light gray interior on my '99, purchased new June of '98. It still looks new!
The leather seats and vinyl panels, etc. clean really easily and are very durable, but in truth, I don't need to clean it very often. Get yourself a good vinyl cleaner and you can take care if you do scuff a panel with your band equipment. I like McGuire's leather and vinyl cleaner, and follow up with either something like Formula 2000 on the plastic and vinyl, and I use a high quality leather cleaner and protectant for the seats, shift knob, and steering wheel cover.
As for the lighter carpets, I got a set of cheaper floor mats to keep the Lexus mats looking new (a little redundant and/or nutty, but what's the harm?).
All in all, I really like the lighter interior because it not only seems more open, but it stays cooler when parked in the sun, and cools off faster. I don't care for the ivory color at all myself; it's just not me. I can see where others find it appealing. I think the ivory color looks more "opulent" and the gray (dare I say for an RX?) "masculine". Then there's black, which looks great, but...
ONe of the benefits of having the lighter interior is to have the wood trim on your steering wheel. The wood is so solid and luxury like.
By the way, i purchased the clear plastic custom made for rx 350 floor mat and trunk mat over at the sexell (sp) store. the best part of the clear plastic is it covers the gap in the back seats between the two floor mats. it also blends in with the lexus only fllor mats.
Does anyone know if the stock stereo on RX350 play MP3 CDs? And if there is a capability to hook up an iPod and the level of integration (text showing etc.)?
I'm on thin ice here but I think the answer to both is probably no. I believe you would need to convert the MP3s to Audio CD. There is an aftermarket iPod integration kit for Lexus, check the link: Dension iPod kit
The August C & D has a short review of the RX350 (awd). They measured the 0-60 time as 6.8 seconds. They previously got 6.9 seconds on a RX400h. One less reason to buy the RX400h. I presume that we will be seeing an RX450h for '07.
The Standard Audio System on the new RX350 plays both MP3's and WMA's. Being able to put 140 or so on a CD is quite nice, especially with a 6 CD changer.
It does not have a direct mp3 player/ipod input. Models with the Nav tend to have a cassette player which could use a cassette adapter for the Ipod.
Do you happen to have the July 2006 update to the residuals/MF list? Dealers are saying the residuals went down by 2% across the board. Also, they are claiming the MF's in California went up to 0.0019 from 0.0017. Is this true? Any help will be appreciated.

Thx.

It does not have a direct mp3 player/ipod input. Models with the Nav tend to have a cassette player which could use a cassette adapter for the Ipod.
