horsepower

hi i have a 1989 f-150 with a 185 horsepower 302 in it.it has some good torgue to it also.how can i add 300 horsepower to it and a little more torgue?

    the best way is to buy a crate motor. it will come with a pretty good warranty and all you do is swap. :shades:

    Here's a nice 302 crate motor.

    You aren't going to get 485 reliable horsepower out of a 302. I don't think you can even do that with a 347 stroker motor. That is radical horsepower for a 302. You'd need supercharger + nitrous + some mighty expensive internal parts.

    i think maybe they want a total of 300 hp. 485 is a lot to ask. ;)

    Yeah but it would be fun.

    300HP No problemo. Just drop in that crate motor and you're done. Cheapest way to high HP. AND a warranty!!

    thanks guy for your help.that is a very nice motor.i will keep that in mind.it is the easyest way to do it i see.not a bad price either.
