Odyssey w/RES vs installing one myself

mikecanonmikecanon Member Posts: 2
Hi,

I apologize if this is a duplicate, I posted once but haven't seen it appear in a few hours.

I am deliberating between buying an EXL with RES or just an EXL and installing one at best buy... if the latter I would get something like Audiovox (Movies 2 Go AVXMTG10U) 10 inch for $240 plus installation...

What are the pros and cons of doing this? are there any advantages to having the RES preinstalled? Can I play videos off of a USB stick? or just dvd's?

With the Audiovox I have the ability to use USB which is a nice feature.

Thanks

Being able to control everything from the front is the biggest advantage. Plus the rear seat passengers with the wireless headphones and remote have the ability to control radio, cd and DVD while front seat listens to whatever they want. The systems integration can't be duplicated after market.
