ADM, Additional Dealer Markup sticker

After 15 years of driving my Honda Accord I’m going to buy a new car, paying cash for it. The dealer has a $1995.00 ADM sticker on all his cars. I believe it is listed as $1000.00 Rocky Mountain markup and $995.00 for paint sealant and leather upholstery and interior protection package. This particular model car has been sold by Acura for 2-3 years now so it is not a new model year. I want a specific colour which the dealer does not have, so if they take a deposit and go out and find the car can I stipulate I will not accept the car with an ADM?

As ADM is simply profit for the dealer, part of the price, it is always negotiable. And seriously, is $995 a good deal for some wax and scotch guard?
Probably best to look for another dealer. Any dealer who attempts to add nearly $1,900 to the MSRP is best avoided. Particularly now when virtually no new vehicle sells for MSRP.
One thing to recognize is dealers do not want customers to pay cash. Cash buyers do not allow the dealer to make much money on the back end, in the F&I office. The dealer, if it knows the deal is cash, may try to sell at a higher price. Might be best to finance the vehicle and pay it off within a month.

You can ask or stipulate anything.
