Must be a Toyota group thing. I have seen several Lexus with a similiar kit. Nice touch if you ever need it.
The Nissan Xterra has a similar kit. Pretty much all German cars do, too, from what I can tell. Very useful for dealing with small nicks and scrapes, whether they're suffered by someone in your car or someone parked next to you at the picnic area.
I've seen Nissan/Infiniti and Honda/Acura with the exact same kit inside and out, just a different logo. Looks like they all use the same vendor. Not sure why this was a blog entry.
The thigh extender on the driver seat or functional power lift gate will make better topics.
