Oil Low Pressure Light Intermittent

I have a 2000 Chrysler Town and Country 3.8L 142,000 miles. Two days ago the low pressure oil sending light and alarm activated. This was after a 65 mile trip on the highway. I needed to add 1 quart of oil and we returned home. As we got back the light would flicker again but when we stopped at traffic lights (low rpm) and when the car turned sharply. Had oil changed yesterday with new filter 5w 30 oil used as recommended. Today we drove about 10 miles and I noticed the light and sound again when we turned. Oil lever is fine. No engine noise at all nor was there the other day.
Any thoughts on the cause of this issue?

Yes, On vehicles with age and milage on them it is not at all unusual for this type of thing to be caused by oil sending unit. Should not be exspensive replacement, and if that isn't it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,more extensive test is needed and results not likely in-expensive .
