    Yeah, but where is the diesel? The Grand Cherokee and RAM 1500 get it, but the Durango doesn't? It makes far more sense in the Durango than it does in the GC, and it makes sense in the GC!
    What a pity.

    Dodge wants to increase sales of the Durango and they replace the shifter with a knob??? GET RID OF IT!!! A knob has no place in a Dodge truck or SUV. I've waited a year for the '14 Dodge Durango with an 8-speed. but I'll not buy one if it has a knob. The shifter is part of the driving experience not to mention a place to rest your hand. There's still time to correct this egregious error before production. GET RID OF IT and put in a shifter.
