A U.S. district court judge has delayed final approval of Toyota's $1.1 billion settlement of a class-action lawsuit by consumers involving problems of sudden, unintended acceleration in Toyota vehicles, including the 2001-'10 Toyota Prius and 2002-'10 Toyota Camry.

    Toyota gave up far too easily on this matter.

    What really happened ,,we will never know,,because big companys have the money and power to cover up anything... It just amazes me that traffic lights do not go up until people are killed... Such as toyota never taken it seriously till it got this far... If any lesson learned,,,,, all the big car companys are now recalling things earlier ,,Thank god. Another example of profit over the safety of the consumer..

    @agentorange: I agree. Now, I'm not in any position to make absolute judgements; but no independent, reputable scientific test has replicated the problem. I guess that Toyota estimated that the damage to the company's image should it fight it would exceed
