    It's funny that you mention consumers optioning out their Fords. I'm beginning my search for a new car, and it's hard to find ANY lower-trim Fords. If you're lucky, you'll find one stripped-down model on a dealer lot, with mostly everything else topping the range. A $16,000 car optioned to $26,000? No thanks.
