Somehow this is so much uglier than the concept.

What's with the hideous headlight and mirror? What are the mirrors so huge and so low on the door?

    Totally ruins it.

"...still wants to make passionate cars that are true drivers' machines..." If this is the case then the car is missing the third pedal.

I would love one, but in a car like this a manual is a must.

The 8C is one of the most beautiful cars ever made. The 4C is a car that if given to me I would immediately go and trade for something else. Porsche has nothing to fear from this as I would take a Cayman over it without hesitation. In fact I would take a FR-S/BRZ over this in a heartbeat.

Aftermarketers should start tooling for 4C replacement headlights (use concept car headlights as blueprint)

Looks wise it's ok. Much better than most of the generic cars out there.

Cost wise it's going to be overly expensive I'd imagine and in low numbers.

The concept of a super-lightweight, super-compact, handling and power/weight ratio-oriented sports car alone instantly earns my automatic approval and I'll overlook a lot, but what were they thinking with those headlights? It looks like a gruesome parasitic bug infection.

One would think that this car would come first and foremost with a manual gearbox. Out of Principal! Without even the option of a manual, I just can't help but lament every time I think of or see this car's picture!! I ask myself WHY??? Especially since it should compete with a Lotus and Cayman. It would seem that the philosophy (in regards weight savings, with a driver's enjoyment being the priority...blah blah blah) behind such a car.. and with so much artistic passion just spilling all over the car,.. would all that not be at odds with it coming with an automatic (DSG whatever)? Why would they not complete the package properly with a manual at least as an option?? Or am I, American born of Middle Eastern descent, being more romantic than an Italian?? No! I don't believe it! Sigh,.. Then again, there ain't any Ferrari's with a third pedal neither is there. Maybe it's time to just let it go?

Hate it in that colour. The mirror mounting is a bit odd, too.

I like the wheels and view of the rear. The rest has a little of the MR2 spyder about it - which is to say unnattractive.

Whomever makes a headlight appearance replacement kit should do quite well. One MAJOR reason many performance cars are going with auto clutch paddle shifting is lower warranty costs. Perfect shifting means components in the transmission can be made differently, and perhaps cheaper. FIAT seems to have SRT VIPER down, 500 is doing OK, and JEEP correct(future Cherokee looks ???) But ever see the interior of the Dart?

A little weight coupe built for handling with modest power... did they copy that from the Scion FR-S brochure? This car will be a failure if they charge more than $40K for it. It looks like a slightly worked Lotus Elise form the outside and honestly not as attractive as the FR-S. An one more thing, a dual clutch on an Alfa is a disaster waiting to happen. The resale will tank after the warranty is done. My brother had an Alfa 164 and despite meticulous efforts to maintain that car, it was over when the ZF 4HP18 died.

I've been following this car since the introduction of the concept. What I have still not heard an explanation of why the beautiful head lights of the concept were replaced by these absolutely hideous spider eyes - in black looking glued on plastic no less! It seems a lot of thought and creative energy went into this presentation. The lights are a real deal killer for me.
