    No contest - Ford does this better by a large margin. Not only is it too small, but it's too convex...you may see something in that, but you're not going to get a good idea of how close it is. That Merc sedan headed the other way is probably only around 60 feet from the truck's rear bumper - pretty close if he were headed in the same direction - but in the convex mirror, you can hardly even see it.

    The blind spot mirror on my car is...the mirror. I adjust it correctly in the first place and therefore there is no blindspot, no need for a bubble or small angled section of whatever else people are calling blind spot mirrors.

    Shouldn't you be looking over your shoulder when changing lanes and backing up anyway? All of these new safety features are making the roads more dangerous for everybody...

    Like you I was a little skeptical at first, but after 4,000 miles can attest this mirror is actually useful when used in conjunction with the larger main mirror. Still, I think Honda's latest driver's mirror that has an entire outer edge that is convex is more intuitive to use.

    Shouldn't you turn your head? Shouldn't you adjust the mirror properly to begin with?

    The point is that it is there and it has an intended purpose. It's fair to evaluate if they serve the intended purpose well or not.

    I agree that Ford does this better by a long shot.
