  I'm loving the Recaros in my ST3. I was a little worried, at first, that I'd find them too confining over the long haul, but I'm actually really liking the aggressive bolstering. And even my fuller figured friends find them comfortable!

  If there's a reason to cringe at the seats, it's because eventually you have to get out of them. I mean that in two ways... the first is obvious: getting out of the seat means you're no longer driving the car, which is (or can be) a ton of fun and very rewarding. The second way I mean that is a bit less positive: the seats are somewhat difficult to get out of depending on your size and stature, and can cause al lot of wear on the outer bolster and its covering, and maybe a bit of pain to your thigh. The combination of the stiffness of the bolster and kinda wide sill can just make getting out a bit tough all the way around. But the fact is, I never cringe or dread getting into the ST's Recaros; the promise of the driving experience more than erases any memories of the last time I got out.

  In the ST3 version of the Recaro seats (all carbon black leather), there is a seat "height" adjustment. But it actually adjusts both the height and tilt. I think it just rotates around a pivot near the front of the seat. As the height is raised, the seat tilts forward.
  
  I like how the seat supports my thighs when it's lowered and tilted back.
  
  Strange concern, associating the seat tilt with danger to the man bits. But then, I tend to have the seat back tilted back too, so my upper back is supported a little by gravity. The angle of the headrest suggests that I've got it at the intended/expected seatback angle for drivers to assume. With that seatback angle, it's pretty much 90 degrees to the seat, seat.
