Neighbors can be, well, un-neighborly. I had a buddy in high-school that had a ragged Gran Torino who made it a point to park in front of his elderly neighbor's house. She would complain and call the cops, but the eye-sore was parked legally. I suggested he be considerate and just park in front of his parent's house, but he would not "on principle" that this was public right of way. Now, people he destroy other's cars, that's a whole different category...
After the shenanigans I used to see with petrol theft in the UK, I was appalled to find that US cars rarely have locking fuel caps and that aftermarket versions were like hens' teeth. Why is that?
