  Delete the AC and do a write up on it. My A/C went out last summer and I am planning to delete it and depower the powersteering rack. How about you guys do some of the more common track specific mods to the car? It is a track car after all...

  Granted we don't get many posts on it now but if they turn it into a more dedicated track car it will get very few miles on it and even less posts. --- We are also heading into cooler weather but I can't imagine anyone purposely signing out a car without AC to inch along in the sun in So Cal traffic.

  Is it as simple as a busted accessory belt? If yours has power steering, the same belt serves the power steering and ac, you would know immediately trying to steer. mine broke the hottest day of the summer, but it's an easy fix.

  A nice simple AC interface with big grippy sliders and knobs. You never have to take your eyes off the road to make adjustments.
  
  Seems better than modern units that you push crammed together anonymous mode buttons multiple times to choose what vents the air come out of, or to change fan speed.

  My Miata is the only car where I've actually felt engine drag when the AC kicked on. And with the way Mazda's AC is, that generally the only way you'll know its on.
