Now we have EZ-Pass, keyless, Bluetooth - those items now stay in your purse. Still waiting to hear why you need places in the car to stash that kind of stuff.
If I have a passenger, I put my purse in the back seat instead of close at hand. I like to put the car key in the cupholder, and my access card for the office, and my iPod so I don't switch cars and leave it behind. I put quarters in the cupholder because my neighborhood is full of parking meters. There is plenty of stuff to stash in a cupholder.
You're not storing any of that stuff in the cupholders in this car! However, It would be pretty funny to watch somebody putting quarters in these cupholders. That's the person that definitely does not belong in the driver's seat, especially of this Porsche...
I think you're missing my point...if you have keyless, it doesn't matter whether your purse is in the front or the back - if the fob is in the cabin, the car will usually start...so you don't need to remove it from your purse. The access card I'll give you. The iPod...if I have your job, where I drive a lot of cars, I am either getting my music put on a Bluetooth device or a memory stick. The coins for the meter...they are in your purse with the rest of your money. You take your purse with you when you leave the car and walk to the meter - no? Whatever. I just think if your concern is switching cars and leaving stuff behind, I good first step would be to minimize the variety of things you distribute around the interior of the car.
