    No offense, but anyone - any private owner of limited means - who buys a new car in order to basically destroy its value and turn it into a race car is brain dead. There are just so many used race cars out there, or salvage title cars that will do just as well as base material - it's just nuts to use a new car.

    The hid's fit into that quotient too. But the parts issue is something that would keep me away from subaru long term. May be different in S. Cali but thinking long term toyota has an advantage as far as parts availability.
