    Excellent highway cruising used to be a thing that only the Germans excelled at. Not so much anymore. They are still excellent but so is just about everybody else. My favorite long road trip highway cruiser is one of the GM full size SUV's. Lots of room, quiet, and can easily cruise at 80 MPH all day.

    Yeah but try avoiding an object or debris on road at that speed, that's were the Germans excel while you'll be recovering from an suv rollover.

    or a quick zig zag through freeway traffic of if the trip takes you to a fun backroad or...

    So it's sounding like the A3 is a step ahead of the CLA you had last year? Also sounds like it's a step ahead of the prior gen A3 as well which, while a decent car, felt more VW than Audi.
