  Whenever I hear '3 cylinder engine' I can't help but think of this:

  So, any idea as to why it is getting lousy gas mileage? How about looking into that?
  That seems a little bit more important than a momentary roughness while elves (sorry, an 'engine controller') are stoking the catalyst.

  I haven't ever noticed this "roughness" during cold starting, and it's been below freezing all week -- far below! Neither have I ever read of it from others on the North American Motoring forum, which includes hundreds of other F56 owners. Hmmm...
