As the owner of an original generation 135 convertible the #1 thing I'm looking to confirm in reviews of the 2 series is that BMW didn't [non-permissible content removed] with too soft handling, disconnected steering, etc. Yeah, it'd be great to see BMW move the needle forward noticeably in terms of performance and value; that's a close second. From this review it seems like the new 2 represents a nip and tuck approach to building on the 1, including the availability of the new 2.0T engine. So far I like it. It's not everything I hoped for but it's also nothing I feared.
