    Wow, that is pretty terrible. I once dropped a 2 stroke scooter going 50km on a city street in downtown Toronto so I can't imagine what it would be like going twice that speed riding something weighing more than twice as much. How are you healing up a few weeks later?

    That's too bad, Mark. My dad is a long-time rider and I've heard about his many crashes. They're never fun, but at least you're doing better and got away without any serious injuries. Hopefully you'll have the Yamaha running soon!

    Thanks for the well wishes/condolences! There was an ambulance on site and they gave me the initial exam and made sure to inspect the helmet for any marks. Fortunately, the brain bucket never touched the ground.

    Splinting your fingers with mini wrenches and electrical tape then waiting till you got home to get checked out was bad [non-permissible content removed].

    The ER nurse said I was a cross between Evel Kneivel and McGyver. That is perhaps the highest compliment I've ever received. She was also quite attractive, as were pretty much the entire staff at Cedars-Sinai. I may become a hypochondriac just to hang out there.
