    Especially with an infant, there are a lot of things you need to bring if you want them to be comfortable and entertained.

    Attempting to 100% replicate the home environment perhaps misses the point of camping - the idea is to get away, not take it all with you.

    And yes, I think California is like a liberal version of Texas...too much is never enough.

    To his credit, Mike Schmidt poked fun at himself in the post for overpacking...he gets it.
