2001 Dodge Durango engine swap

I am swapping out the engine in my 2001 Durango. 4.7 L, 4X4 AT. I found an engine out of a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 P/U, 5,000 miles on rebuild. The part numbers are the same, 300-07147, except mine has a "B" at the end of the number, and the new engine has a "C". In checking online I find that they are not compatible. Can someone help me figure out why. Is it a matter of number of sensors, electronics, or what? Thank you in advance.
