Rear a/c

I don't understand why they put rear a/c in sedans but not in suv's. No rear a/c in any suv but in a sedan where we don't really need it. In Subaru outback you must buy the most expensive model such as the LIMITED in order to get rear a/c. WHY? does anyone know the answer? Roger.

    Looks like you get rear air vents in the Limited - not quite the same as rear A/C (like I have in my minivan, which is really a big empty compared to an Outback).

    Dunno why it's not standard across the board; shouldn't be much more to it than some plastic tubing should it?
