2000 Honda CR-V will start, refuses to idle.

My Honda will start and before I can get into gear(automatic) it dies out and then doesn't want to restart.The mechanic has checked almost everything imaginable but just cant pinpoint the problem'Any suggestions?

    You really need to find a shop that knows what they are doing. It could be a number of things.
