    16 gallon tank at 11 mpg, it does not take long to empty.

    Why does Edmunds make it so easy to take potshots at Chrysler/Fiat/Dodge products? Oh yeah, because they keep buying them. Frankly, if a gauge is going to err, I'd prefer it to be pessimistic.

    Had this problem with my old Accord. The fuel gauge would show 3/4 full even though the pump shut off. Turns out the fuel tank sending unit was bad and not showing full.

    It does sound like a gage issue. The worst thing about that is attempting to "top off". That could force liquid fuel into the canister assembly and damage it.

    Let's be fair to the Gardenshed...it's likely not to depreciate and may actually increase property value as well as likely not to need a service call.

    I think that was the "met with a strong gasoline smell" part.
