1999 S-10 prndll and gas gauge

Please let me pick your brains!

gas gauge doesn't work
PRNDLL lights up and works with the key in AUX position, but not once engine is started and truck is running. Changed out the instrument cluster, no change...

    Hello! This is usually caused in the S-10 by a faulty ignition switch. You can check this by running current and continuity tests on the switch. Good luck!
