I have a 2001 S-10.4.3 engine,auto trans.Over the last 3 years I have had endless electronic trouble with this truck.Can I put a carb and intake and regular HEI distributor on this truck and put an end to this?

    Legally speaking, No. That would amount to illegal tampering of the emissions system.
    Technically it could be done, but the problems you are going to encounter will make the repairs that you have gone through look cheap in comparison.
