    Adults up to 6 feet tall are barely OK in the rear. I am 5'11" and while the legroom is satisfactory, I have only 1/2-inch of clearance between my head and the hatch header beam. The top of the door frame is also curved right at the side of my head. The rear door openings are tight as well. I have a coworker who was excited about buying a new Volt until he realized how difficult it was to install a child seat and shoehorn in his two-year-old.

    Slippery aerodynamics trumped interior space in the Volt. The upcoming Bolt EV is the opposite -- interior space takes precedence over a low drag coefficient.
