    So how does the pedal pivot all the way up under the dash? That's bad news.

    So as professional car testers you get to grab the keys to cars w/o first being familiarized with their basic functionality?

    I would not call you an idiot. Edmunds' contributors should be given a briefing from the car pool manager before being allowed to check out a car.

    Old school works. Personally, I detest electronic parking brakes.

    Old school technology? It's really just the user interface you're quibbling about — and the foot-operated parking brake is the most common, I'd expect, even in 2016. It was absolutely intuitive to me when I got my Mirai. And it's right where your foot expects it to be. I'm going with operator idiocy on this one, sorry.
