The new CX-9 is surprisingly quiet. It can hold 7 people (3 kids in fat boosters) with ease and entry and egress (compared to the ridiculously difficult first generation MDX; I have not tried modern SUVs) was very easy and painless. It definitely has excellent low end torque, so you can keep up with traffic (aggressive Boston driving) without inducing any complaint from the passengers. I agree that the Bose is a "low level" unit that was not impressive. The HUD is a very nice feature to have in this kind of vehicle.
