    Planning a return trip to Death Valley next year to hike up and sleep overnight on Telescope Peak with some buddies. I want to get out to the Racetrack some time, good to know about the washboard road. No doubt will be hard on whatever rental vehicle I have...

    I thought it was bad enough when we my wife and I took the rental Rav4 on Titus Canyon Rd (drove fine afterwards); but the road out to the Racetrack sounds much worse. We ran out of time and didn't get out there.

    Anyway, sounds a bit more difficult than the four shock-swap I did on my old '01 Ranger. Except mine were so shot and rusted I basically cut the top nuts off the fronts to replace them.

    Nice parts there, though...

    Does this mean we'll see a rematch of Tacoma vs. Death Valley, with the Colorado ZR2 as a new challenger?

    Wow - another grand so that your off-road-package pickup can actually go off road. This vehicle is less impressive every time I see an update.
