2012 Silverado shuts off.

While driving the truck will intermittently shut off. Traction light comes on. Door locks will engage and disengage several times The gauges will bounce. Then it will stop doing it. May go several days before doing it again. Any ideas as to why it maybe doing this?

    Quite a few idea's on possible causes. What codes are setting in what modules? Is communication with a scan tool possible while the problem is occurring?

    I know this thread is a year old but I'm guessing you found the BCM for the antilock brakes to be "shorted out"?
    it is located outside, under the drivers seat on frame of truck and it actuates the ABS.. disconnect the wire harness and problem will go away (until replaced you will lose traction control and ABS brakes)
