    Why would a 2-year-old car suffer a dead battery?

    It really isn't all that unusual for a 2 year-old vehicle to suffer a dead battery. We had a 2007 Subaru Outback that needed a new battery at only 20,000 miles. Covered under warranty. Stuff happens.
